There has been so much buzz about the Apple iPhone this last six months I am little burnt. But I will pass on this little tid bit I thought was of interest. It seems that not only is the iPhone a bit lighter than my Blackjack it also will rock a 8 hour battery life. I found this hard to believe as it has a full color screen and wifi which is notorious for sucking the life out of a battery. If this phone can last for 8 hours it really will be the champ!

I am not going to be shelling out the $500 bucks next week for one of these little gems for a couple of reasons. The first of which is that it has no 3G, which is just ridiculous. I am also skeptical about its integration with our friendly windows based aps and exchange based email. Finally, it is a first gen phone. Let the early adopters work through the kinks and bugs. I am waiting for the second gen which I am sure will include 3G and be made of gold!!

Everyday I am amazed by the course of technology. It is no secret, I am a tech geek. Follow the trends, read and watch for what’s next. Work in the tech field and most nights sleep with my Mac. I have asked my IBook to marry; it’s not legal in this state, yet.

So when I see there is a talk show in the virtual world, I shrug. But when it is on an Xbox and in Halo. Wow! If you didn’t see this on Slash or Wired, check it out. It has been a rough week for our friends at Microsoft. First the delay of Vista and now it looks like Office will be delayed too! Not only do they have to contend with these delays, but the reviews from tech writers have not been great. I am just as excited as the next guy to get my hands on the end product. I have tested a couple of the last beta’s of Vista, one word, buggy. I am not worried though, I know you aren’t either, they are Microsoft. People will keep buying it long as it comes with free games.

This to me looks like the perfect opportunity to buy a Mac! What are you waiting for?

Vista boring

My b-day was last week and in case you missed it and are looking to get me an over due gift. I know just what will make it right. It’s not like I want a car, just another computer.

Thanks to the kids for taking this young man out on the town. I really lived it up, my liver thanks you. So will the doctors some day when they have to remove it.

Apple is the innovator when it comes to computing. For as long as I can remember this has been the case. Apple makes some great leap forward and the rest of the industry is playing catch up. Sometimes 10 years later.

Once again as with the mouse, laser printer, wireless networking and the ipod, Apple has jumped out ahead. The new G5 IMac is not only stylish but a mover and shaker when it comes to computing. This one sleek unit contains the cpu, speakers, all connectors without an attached box. This has been done before, many times actually, but never in such a way that makes you want to touch it over and over again.

Anyway, check it out. I started writing this blog last week and now forgot what else I was going to say.
