On the first Friday of every month in Phoenix the downtown artists get together to show or sell there work to the public. If you are in the Phoenix area and want to see what has been described to me as, I wouldn’t pay two American dollars for that throw up on canvas, you should go check it out!

If you attend, drop me an email and let me know what it was like!

If you are from Phoenix or had some friends that were looking for something to do one night and found Rawhide in Scottsdale then you know about this western landmark. It has been there since the 60’s and I have heard many a crazy story about it through the years. It brings in 800,000 people a year and makes a boat load of money for the city. The next time you are out west check it out, that is if it is still there, read below.

Phoenix surpassed Philly to be number 5 in the nation at 1.5 million people. Who would have guess that a sleepy little dust bowl in the desert southwest would be the nations 5th largest. If only I would have been a little older in the 80’s maybe I could have bought that land in the north valley where the erected a whole other city. Oh well, next time!

I grew up in Phoenix I just love the City and when you read this little bit from the AZ Republic you will undoubtedly know why, or not.

The salt river, or as I like to call it the dry river bed where we can throw dead bodies and go looking for coins after, has been dry for many years. I have only seen water in this river, the part through phoenix, on two occasions. It has flooded several times through the years and it was those times when I saw water. Then recently with in the last couple of years the city of Tempe filled part of the river and made a little lake. I know what you are thinking, a lake in a desert, I am thinking the same thing too, stupid. Especially seeing as I cant take a shower ever other day due to water restrictions here in Colorado. But if you live in the southwest you need not worry about such things. Where was I, oh ok so I guess according to this article some folks have been working on restoring the Mighty Salt to its long gone glory. I for one am for it and cant wait to see water flowing through the city again. In the end it just goes to show you if you have 99 million dollars and a dream anything is possible.

Here is a little blimp out of the Republic today about how some think celebrities die in three’s. I think it is bull, but if you can find me some proof I will listen? hmmm…

Here is a piece from the Arizona Republic staff writer E.J. Montini. He is an editorial writer who has been with them quite a few years. I usually enjoy his stuff, a lot of Arizona politics. Today he is right on the money about McCain.

Check it out..

VP for all

Ralph got himself enough signatures to get on the AZ ballot in November. I guess Nader was right when he said that there are a lot of Republicans who are going to vote for him.
