<div style="padding: 4px;">Yesterday was the great &#8220;black out&#8221; of many of your favorite internet sites.  Sites like Reddit and Wikipedia both blacked out their site for most of the day.  When I first heard the idea for an internet black out I was sure it would fail.  Not enough people (every day internet users) would be effected by a handful of sites not working.  I really thought the only way to make a big impact would be if  sites like google and amazon didnt loading and just threw a 404 error for a day.  This would wake people up as to how much they rely and count on the internets.   In the end  what I didn&#8217;t foresee was the mass media coverage.  It was everywhere yesterday, with many of the news/blogs following up today.  Glad to see this issue getting some main stream media play.  Hopefully this will bury this shit for good.  Though I am sure in some dark room somewhere in a bunker the powers that be are working on the next rediculous idea to stop the internet from being the internet.  Best of luck assholes.</div>
