This is the second article I have read this year about grown meat.  It is only a few more years until this becomes common practice.  Two question remain for me – will it be lean and healthy and will it turn me into a zombie?

Pinkberry is all the rage now. It is the new Crispy Cream Donuts, minus all the fat and lard. There is a store locally that started to sell this zero calorie frozen yogurt a couple of months ago and I gave it a try. At first I wasn’t sure if I liked it, but later I found myself wanting more and actually craving it? I am not a fan of yogurt so I was surprised!

Pinkberry is currently being sued over the ingredients of their highly addictive product. We will have to wait and see if I am right about this stuff. I am almost positive it is laced with some new bread of barbiturate.

The Germans have yet another first, the automated restaurant.  Thats right no waiter to yell at, make fun of or tip.  The whole restaurant has been fitted with a rail system to delivery the food. You order by touch screen at your table.  Quick and easy and one more place on the planet where you can avoid human contact.   What is to become of us?  I am telling you, robots!!

Now here is a great mash up!  Gophernow is a simple google maps mash that lets you enter your address and then gives you a map and list of restaurants that are open right now.  This is such a great idea that it seems strange that it has taken someone this long to mash this data.  Not only does it give you restaurants in your area that are open and serving it also lets you know who is delivering.  This will be handy to have when you are in a unfamiliar city and looking for food, late!

Last week the Queen of England came over to slum it with her former subjects.  In honor of this event and her appearance at the Kentucky Derby our friends at Crown Royal whipped up a special bottle of whiskey.  The bottle itself is etched in 24 karat gold leaf, not something you throw in the air at the end of the night.  You and I are not going to have the chance to partake, well unless you were in Kentucky last weekend.  The price tag for this little beauty, $10,000.
