Some times while I am reading, especially on medical related issues, I think to myself the following.

- Where is the money in medical research going?
- How much is the government spending and on what?
- Will the next thing I read be about saving the human race?
- I sure hope they fix this aging thing fast, I am getting tired of getting old.
- Cancer, WTF, work it out!
- How can I make this premature ejaculation go away for good?

It seems, I am not the anyone asking and looking for answers. During this time of Aids, Cancer, Heart Dieses, Erectile Dysfunction, we need yet another cure for something that affects a small amount of people. How many marriages do you know have been broken up by the man losing his load in 20 seconds? Come on, if you married the fool you knew he had sexual short comings. I know these kinds of drugs bring big money for the corporation. I know it is not really about the break up of marriage. I also know when this drug comes to market and I will be able to go from 3 minutes to 33 minutes. You will not be able to keep it on the shelves.

This is yet another thing wrong with our society. We just love to make it sound like we are doing something for families. The prim and proper among us need it to be this way, so they can feel just when they buy the product. But, would it really be that “hard” to just tell us the truth? This drug is going to make you into a sexual champion, your wife, mistress and girlfriend and going to keep coming back for more. That’s what it is really about, and that is all we really want to hear? Right?

A Century of Happiness!

With the death (or as the Republicans say “starvation”) of Terri Schiavo’s and the imminent loss of the Pope it may seem like the end of the world. Let me reassure you that we have a couple of more years.

Over the last couple of weeks the news has really been inundated with Schiavo’s struggle to die. I have heard both sides from the family and the husband. I have seen the media spin this in so many directions, I think many times last week even they didn’t know what the fuck was going on. I have in my life seen some pretty messed up shit, but what the media and the courts have done to this woman not to mention her family is fucked up.

Let me state right now, if I am a vegetable who can smile and move my eyes, PULL THE PLUG. Game over right, that’s not living. To make it even worse you are going to fight with my no good husband to keep me alive for what I see as selfish reasons. Then put my picture in that state, on national TV. What a nightmare! That poor woman, if there is a heaven she is there, because someone who had to endure such great agony deserves something better.

This is a shinning example of why politics, where it is involved in everything we do, should keep the hell out of this type of situation. White men with power and bad hair should not be allowed to mingle in the affairs of families. When politicians or men with great power see the chance to not only forward there own political future but to elevate other political agendas, evil ensues. They used this woman and her family’s misfortune to build a case for Republican re-election, abortion, the right to die, Jesus and the Presidency of the United States. I am not going to deny the fact the family used the media in the same fashion, to help promote their case. But I would like to think it was out of love and not for power?

Don’t get me wrong, or do see if I give a shit, I feel for the family. I think it would be hard for me to pull the plug on my child. But I would like to think, that I would do the right thing for him/her. To be in that state the whole of your life with no way out. Is that anyway to live?

To my friends the Republicans and the Right to Life crowd, I hope you all end up in some vegetative state trapped in your own minds. Lying there going crazy, blinking your eyes and moving your mouth. As you are trying to tell us to kill you, to end your misery so you don’t have to live like this anymore. I will come and visit you and fight for your right to have the tub removed, because unlike you, I am human and I have respect for all humans not just White Christens.

It looks like the state of Colorado is finally going to do what the country of Ireland did last year. That’s right ban smoking indoors! Some of you out there probably know I have become an advocate for this cause. It takes an ex-smoker to promote the health and good smell of all people. I am the worst kind too, I give everyone shit. I don’t care how fragile your mental state is I will break your cigarette in half and laugh in your face. Please remember I am doing it for your long life and my pure enjoyment!

I know a couple of years ago I was against this pure volition of American freedom. But the good out ways the bad on this issue, this time. I wish we could all smoke and live happy lives but this just is not the case. It is a killer and we are footing the bill for every smoker in the US. Until the time each person who smokes can pony up the health care costs associated for care as they die. We as citizens have the right to say, not in here you dirty smoker! Every smoker I say this too says it is not true; they always say I will not have to pay for their smelly ass. Come on! Think about it, the number of people who smoke that are below the poverty level and have no medical insurance is staggering! We are paying for them and will pay for them for years to come.

The smoker always points out the overweight as a rebuttal argument. This is about our overweight citizens and how we pay for them too. Their over eating is costing us with heat attacks and diabetes. To this I reply, just like the smokers need to stop smoking. I tell the overweight to, stop stuffing your collective faces you fat bastards! You are costing us a fortune!

Please don’t think it comes down to dollars. I really would like people to be free of the addiction and also know life after smoking. But it is hard for people to get on the train and showing Americans the dollars helps them to understand. If you can prove to an American he will some how be richer he will try anything?

Our fine mayor has an ear full to say on this subject. Rivera I can’t wait for you to run for Governor. This is a double win for me, he will not be the mayor of Colorado Springs and I will dedicate my life to his loss!

Tele-trash

I had read something earlier this year about using your mind to move a computer pointer or other such computer related thing. I thought it was fascinating and a step closer to being able to open the fridge door by just thinking about it. This kind of advance will no doubt help the less fortunate in our society. But it leaves me thinking, when they do prefect this kind of control. Will we not become lazier than we already, me excluded of course, are?

Just think you will be able to turn on the TV get a beer and make your wife do whatever you want right from your bark o lounger.
