So great!

Sep 16

The funny thing about reading/watching the news everyday is how similar it can be from year to year. Now, you older folks know I am sure how true this is, as you have seeing it happening far longer than I.It should come as no surprise to anyone that there was no connection between Al Qadea and Iraq. For the last couple of years we have seen time and time again how the Bush Administration out right lied to us, the American people, to fight a war for dollars. It is old news, I don’t care how much you dig up, we know, moving on.

This is nothing new, every president from Washington on down has told his fair share of lies. The degree and severity of the lie, well I guess that is where the real conversation comes into play. Bush and his cronies were dead set on throwing a war party somewhere, even before 9/11. They wanted to bring peace and democracy to the world. In other words they wanted to line the pockets of American companies. Which if you think about it, I know thinking, is what we have been raised to do. Capitalism.

Do not misunderstand me; I am not your typical pinko liberal, hush you kid’s in the back. I am just as much to fault as the next guy. Ok maybe not as much to fault, I didn’t vote for that yahoo. We are participating in this country, in this way of life. Until we, us liberal dissenters, stop paying taxes, stop driving our SUV’s, flying across the country in gas guzzling jets, falling asleep in front of the TV and everything else we do that contributes to the amassing of crude oil and un-check spending. WAIT, that’s everything I love? Maybe it is time to switch sides. Do you think the Neo-cons have room for another? I look good in a red tie, flag pin and gold cross necklace.

An open mic caught Tony and George talking about the mid-east crisis. Bush not realizing the mic was on, or maybe not giving a shit, said this shit gots to stop!

My favorite part is not that he says shit; it is that he is chewing something really big in this clip. Once again our President comes off as such a huge hick!

President Bush today told the sovereign state of Iraq to shape up or ship out. To bring this message home, he sent Condi to let those Iraqis know we mean business.

My biggest fear is that some day when our power is gone, let’s hope it is not as close as Matt thinks, someone will tell us how to fix our country. Can you imagine the Premier of China telling the American people to lead or die!

Civil war, it’s coming to Iraq. To think that we can stop it, or better yet make it go away. Folly!

Love the pic of Bush

What have I been saying for the last year, “give me money and I will save your soul!” Yes, I have been saying that, but more topical. Andy Card needs to get the boot!! The White House has blundered so many times in the last six years, it’s a wonder this didn’t happen back in 2002. I know I am not the only one who is seeing this need for staff replacement. In the last year alone with the Hurricane, Abramoff, Cheney, and the countless other screw-ups, Bush should have gotten the clue sooner. If Jim can see that is time for the Chief of Staff to go, it should have happened a long time ago, I live in Colorado and am out of the loop!

So, good-bye Andy. I will miss you. Your inability to run a White House has been a great source of joy for me. Watching this administration fuck up one thing after another helps to solidify the notion that Bush and his cronies have no idea what’s up. I realize he won a second term. But how hard is that, Regan did it and he had lost his mind by 84. Lets face it Bush and his Hall of Justice are not to blame for anything, we only need to look deeper. Like who voted this guy into office?

He is still polling in the high 30’s. More shake-ups on the way. Maybe he will ditch Dick and put Condie in his place. Ok, I can’t take credit for that one, heard it on the conservative radio station the other day.

This a blog I wrote a month ago and never posted. Now here for your reading pleasure.

Sitting here, in the Phoenix Airport waiting for my flight, I thought I might jot down a couple of “end of the year” thoughts. I have spent these last few days here in the sun surrounded by friends and family. Which I have greatly enjoyed!

This year has brought nothing but good fortune my way. In the last year I have achieved a great many things. Like most people, I set some bold goals, none of which I came close to achieving. Ok, maybe one, I did come out of debt, got that monkey off my back. It was not as hard as I thought it would be; contract killing is a good racket. The second was to marry my Life mate, not so easy. Damn Christians defined marriage, no goats!

In all seriousness, it comes down to this. We as the American people re-elected yet another moron, or the same I guess, for another four years. Which in my mind was our only choice looking back on the election? I mean come on, what the fuck was the DNC thinking, Kerry and Edwards they could have run the 84’ ticket and done better. What I have taken from this whole mess? Fuck the two party system, and as much as I would like to say good ridens to my DNC friends, I guess I am stuck with them, for now.

What else happened in politics? It is easy to sum up like this, same thing happened last year; the players are just a bit diffent. It goes a little something like this:

Domestic:

The Republicans and Democrats fought with each other and in the end came to compromise on so much shit, that the country is no better than the year before. There is of course the small victory, right at the end, no more Patriot Act. I am not holding my breath on this one, there has to be a reason, other than the Republicans inability to get their own shit together. Patriot Act the “Third Reich” is coming, just you wait.

Oh! Old people in America, say good buy to your prescription drugs. I am glad I will never reach the age of 50. You don’t know this yet but, in the near future robots are going to take over and put an end to us humans, therefore I will never have to worry about health care or drugs, well prescriptions.

International:

Everyone hates everyone else, or at least if they don’t hate them, they dislike them softly or at best they want what you have, be it land, oil, money, wigs, crackers, whatever else you can think of, how much for your women!

As you can see, nothing has changed. Well other than the definition of Democracy, which we will leave for another time.

Space:

I was hoping to be the first white middle class gentlemen to go to space last year. I had saved up my 2 million, called my friend in the USSR, I mean Russia. But no luck, at the last minute there was some hang up with a contract with pizza hut. I hope 2006 will be different. To the moon!

COS:

No blacks, no gays, lots of Christians. I am still here, I love it I just wish the Christians would go back to Kansas and leave Colorado the fuck alone.

2006

As for 2006 for me, I want to achieve two things, maybe more but we will see. First, I want to feel good about this, no not that, this, you know, I want whatever one else wants, peace. But beyond that, I know it’s a pipe dream, I really want it to work. I think it might be asking too much for some kind of real break through. I just read that last sentence and I am thinking, one it makes no sense and two it makes perfect sense. I just want us, you and I and everyone to graduate from the Third Grade to the Fourth. Stop hitting each other on the playground, no more sand throwing and no more telling the teacher. I will leave room for the occasional wet pants, will see. In 2006 let’s try to be a little less petty, and a little more grown up, forth grade up that is.

Chin up everyone, no bending over this year. I look forward to seeing you all, whether it is in the Christian capital of the world or in some far away land. The best of luck to all in this New Year!
