Here a piece from the NY Times on HBO’s new show, “Big Love”. It stars our friend Bill Paxton, “we are all going to die!” and my fav Jeanne Tripplehorn.
I have seen the first three episodes, and they are well done. The show revolves around a Polygamist family in Utah. This is what TV should be. Just another reason to keep HBO, or better yet download it off the torrent.
I was sitting here in my office thinking, yes, thinking. Why havent we seen a new picture of our friend MW? This one is for the kids at home.
A couple of years ago I started watching SNL again. I saw a clip from a show and it was really funny. So I did what all good TV watching Americans do, I TiVo’ed it!A couple of weeks back on SNL two of the players put together a digital short that aired on show, about going to see the movie Narnia. I could not stop laughing. It is one of the funniest things I have seen on SNL in years.
It seems I was not the only one who found it amusing. Some fella’s out on the west coast also thought it was a good time. They made their own west coast Rap and put it up on a website dedicated to the two. It’s an old school West Coast East Coast battle.

It looks as though DirecTv has finally done it. Next month they will offer their own DVR service that will suck ass in comparison to TiVo. DirecTv has a controlling interest in the new company, which equal’s more dollars for them. Fortunately the contract with TiVo does not run out until Feb, 2007. By then the internet will be the TV and be everything I will ever need.
As some of you may know my friend and yours Dan Rather will be leaving his post in March of this year. The rumors abound as to who his replacement will be. Everyone and my brother have been named as a possible replacement. There have even been people calling me, to see if I have interest in filling in for Dan.
I have been saying they need a new fresh face, not already with CBS. My father, who provided the link below, has been saying Katie Couric. Now, I don’t know if he has the inside track. He did sit next to her on a plane ride home a couple of months ago. Maybe she said something? I agree with my old man, she would be a good pick.
I have been saying new and younger. Which is what I am always saying when comes to everything in my life. Anderson Cooper from CNN would be my choice and for the first time in print, it looks as though someone else agrees with me.
Really I don’t think they will ever be able to replace an icon like Dan Rather, will they? Let me know what you think? Maybe you are up for the job?

Well it looks as though the only show Charlie would watch on CNN is getting the ax. Yesterday CNN said it was canceling Crossfire and had fired/let go Tucker Carlson.
I am not going to say I am surprised. The show has been on the decline ever since Pat Buchanan left so many years ago. They had cut the show to a half hour and the production seemed lost or without focus this last year. It was only a matter of time.
I will miss this program. I have been watching on and off for many years. It is always a lot of fun to watch the left and the right go at each other on live TV!
As for John Stewart and his comments, sorry John you suck my balls. I hope this is the one and only time me and the JS come to heads on an issue. I like that guy and I would hate for it to get ugly?
